So while fooling around on the web I came across some interesting galleries, including this one from the National Portrait Gallery of all the past US Vice Presidents who became President.
And here is the new picture of President Obama that they have on display, if you have the chance I urge you to go and visit this gallery that is overshadowed by the National Galleries of Art and History.
One exhibit that I am looking forward to is Reflections/ Refractions: Self-Portraiture in the Twentieth Century. This particular one is going to be about issues of understanding identity in the past century. Included in the exhibition are self portraits by Edward Hopper, Charles Sheeler, Louise Nevelson, Alexander Calder, Andy Warhol, Robert Rauschenberg, David Hockney, Chuck Close, Larry Rivers, Jacob Lawrence and Faith Ringgold.
